Kashmiri Pandits celebrate ‘Kheer Bhawani’ festival with religious fervour amid COVID

Ganderbal (J&K), June 18 (ANI): Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, hundreds of Kashmiri Pandits on Friday celebrated the annual Mata Kheer Bhawani festival in Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district. The annual event which is one of the important festivals of Kashmiri Pandits is celebrated on “Zyestha Asthami”. The celebration is also regarded a symbol of communal harmony between the Hindu and Muslim communities.  Every year, thousands of devotees visit Mata Ragnya Devi to seek blessings.
