One of Moscow's cinemas hosted screenings of Kazakh films. The programme included five films - some of the most outstanding works of Kazakh filmmakers over the past decade, awarded prizes at international film festivals. The drama "Shal" ("The Old Man") is based on Ernest Hemingway's novel "The Old Man and the Sea". And the film "The Road to Mother" told Russian viewers about the power of maternal love, which helped the protagonist to cope with the blows of fate. The performers of the main roles of the presented films also visited Moscow.
