Gugong, or the "Forbidden City", is the name given to one of the world’s most majestic architectural complexes, located in China’s capital, Beijing. For over five centuries, it served as the residence of emperors from the Ming dynasty until the end of the Qing dynasty. Today, it is a museum and has been recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1987. Representatives of this world-renowned palace complex visited Moscow State University to speak with students about ancient Chinese architecture and Tsinghua export porcelain.
